Svarga

Meeting Minutes

WIP

Brief

This article will focus on Svarga before the fall, in all its technological superiority. Unfortunately, the topic of Svarga proper is not too heavily discussed, and as such may need further discussion

Svarga: Before the Fall.

“They were technologists so bad-ass that if you showed them magic they’d say, “Hah. I can conjure fire from thin air, too, see?” and then burn you up and then show you the equation that describes it.”

AI

Svarga’s single most prevalent impact on Lokan society is its apparent mastery of Artificial Intelligence. Svargan computing technology was nearing the point of replicating neural nets and sapience in an artificial environment. Automata to this day have enough high-functioning intelligence to successfuly pass as sapient individuals, with some maintaining distinct personalities. (All Automaton PCs fit this category) The “brain” of an Automaton is stored in its Crystal Processing Core (CPC) , a black-box device referred to in loka as a “Soul Gem”, as no sentient automaton exitsts without one. CPCs, like today’s processors, are of different makes, models, quality, and compatibility. Simply having a working chassis and a functional CPC does not mean that the socket will accept the gem. It does stand to reason, however, that the functionality and drivers for various equipment are plug-and-play and, should a matching socket be found, a CPC can be transplanted from a broken chassis to a new one. (e.g. Brisby has the CPC of an ‘actor’ from a svargan theme park, not his original military CPC)

Genetics and Medicine

Svargan medicine was sufficiently advanced to create new, fertile subspecies with traits from other wildlife.

Pasu

Loka’s Pasu have a lineage that traces directly back to Svargan laboratories. Pasu were created as a sub-race for the purpose of performing menial labor, and were given more potent adaptive traits to handle hostile environments or dangerous working conditions.

Space Travel

While it is assumed that Svarga was well past the space age, Svarga had not yet established any self-sustaining colonies, and any extraplanetary installations are assumed derelict.
